Cool guitar, but the two fret inlay thingy is kinda strange. Maybe Dave was trying to decide on the inlay design while he was hiring and firing guitarists.

Yeah, the inlays did look a little strange to me at first, but they've grown on me. I think they're kinda neat.

It's a set neck. I thought it was neck-thru, but I just checked the specs on the site.

Ahh, Crapola. They just have 250, 280 and 500K ohm pots. Hmm, I wonder if Alpha makes a 25K? I'm sure they do. Have to do some research.

Actually, I discovered the pots are 100k. I just had the wiring fixed... they repaired two lead connections where the shield was making contact with the inner conductor, also secured the battery clip. And the switch was also replaced. I got it home, it sounded great, but now the bridge volume pot is cutting out, so that'll be replaced tomorrow.

That's pretty lame to have to be getting stuff replaced and fixed so soon after coming out of the factory, though.

I think I like it Joe. It's classy looking, but still metal. I'm not decided on the headstock. I wan't much of a fan of that shape when BC Rich used it either. I can't believe you're having so many problems with the electronics. Dean really need to pull their socks up.

What other problems usually come up? I've had two Deans, a '79 Series ML and an import DFH, neither of which had any problems in the time I owned them, so maybe I got lucky?

Thanks, Scott! I think I'll be keeping it, though. I like the neck and the way it plays. I guess some of those Koreans can't wire things very well, though.

Yep, it's got a sticker on the back of the headstock that says made in Korea. Don't know about the Solteros, though.
