  • Replacing a broken Bigsby with a functioning one

Well I'm sure you guys know of the Epiphone Les Paul Custom I bought with the de-activated Bisgby, it had its arm, spring and string attachment rods removed, which is why I got it for a very good price.

But because I am a tinkerer I decided that I wanted to have a fully functioning unit and so I bought one. But because they only had it in a different version and it only came in chrome it looks quite *ahem* different.

For some reason the arm seems to disappear when I tried to take this picture but believe me it's there.

Anyway, I love the vibrato I can once again apply to this guitar.

It's no Floyd Rose and it was never intended to be used for that either. And if you're familiar with how to set a Bigsby up it stays in tune just fine with moderate use, you can bend the pitch two steps without any problems.

Doing a Herman Li of course results in an out of tune guitar.
