Vintage Robin

Just got this one
I love the simple design of these early 21 fret Robins... built by Tokai from 82-84.
This one got a Kahler option (The first I own...) that was installed when they came to the Rockin Robin shop.
Obviously not USA made but still reminds me of what was going on in the early Kramer/Charvel San Dimas days...
Like these guys, they made some strat heads early on and were forced to abandon that practice by Fender.
They also offered a short list of custom options and eventually moved production to ESP until 87 when they switched to custom production in Texas.

Tokai built some very nice stuff back then... have owned a few, just not with the Robin sticker on them.
Better than the Fender stuff on the market back then (in my opinion)... very toneful and loaded with mojo.
