  • Absolutely Sick KILLER Hand Crafted O'Donnell From NAMM!

Among the many cool new people I met at NAMM, I befriended Australian Luthier, Craig O'Donnell:

I absolutely fell in LOVE  with the particular guitar he is holding in that pic... so much so, that it followed me home

    O'Donnell Fusion guitar. Specs:

Mahogany body/Quilted Maple Top/Mahogany Cavity Cover
Flamed Maple neck/Ebony fretboard/Paua Inlays (including side markers)
    Ebony headstock overlay
    Recessed neck to body joint
Recessed Master Volume & Master Tone
    3 Position Mini-Switch pup selector
    Grover Tuners/Hipshot Bridge/Seymour Duncan Pickups

    Pics:

If you are going to consider getting a custom guitar built and you want a no-compromise, super high quality components, unbelieveable wood selection, and most importantly TONE... you OWE it to yourself to contact Craig.

    His website is www.odonnellguitars.com

Tell him Ivan sent you

that is an absolutely stunning quilt, but i don't like the oversized pickup holes with the bare wood visible. there's no need for them to be THAT big. the other thing is if u look at the bridge in the top pic of the body, it looks as tho it's sat too far over to the left, causing the saddles to veer off to the right, the strings are also look a litte too far over to the right. perhaps the nut isn't centred properly? could be the camera angle....

That quilt and finish are cool... looks like some sort of astronomical nebula or something starry like that.

It's more like a Warrior in being able to change options without going over $5K in price. Sound is at least on par with any guitar I own (and I own some good ones). Build is like PRS Private Stock level but, at half the price. You're welcome to check it out since you're in NJ. I'd be happy to let you play it/look at it.

thanks for the info and offer....
i don't think playing skills warrant a guitar that nice.
nice flame on that neck btw.

There are MANY great luthiers in Australia, O'Donnell being one of them. Thumbs up deciding not to purchase a big brand!

I met another Aussie builder but, I forgot his name. He's asian looking and pretty young. Was told there's over a year long wait for his wares. Know who I might be talking about?
