More and more PRS are the theme around these parts these days. I know they arent for everyone, but they sure are for me. I love my Charvels, but I have to be in a certain mood to play them. The PRS and Fenders call my name all the time.
First is a PRS "Experience" custom 24, a joy to play and hear, made to commemorate the invitation only event they hold at the factory in September. What a great guitar. Special color is "Calypso Green". The guitar also came with a catalog signed by all the PRS artists by hand. All for about $2600. Compare that to a Charvel value.
I missed the event this year as I was up in Atlantic city seeing Vai, but acording to reports of the other attendees, I should have gone to Maryland.
All of their artists were there and played a kick-ass concert. This isnt a Charvel bashing thread, but its really something to be a fan of a guitar company that really gives a shit. I know Joe,Mike and a few others that went, I should have taken the opportunity. I wont miss next year.
Second is a "Wild Mint" Mira, one of their newest offerings. I actually have another, with birds in powder blue inbound from PRS as well. These Mira's are pure goodness. Alnico,Slash tone for days and so comfortable to play. Also has an SG type scale, so moving around on that fretboard is no problem.
The Mira will be one of their biggest sellers ever when its all said and done. I played 5 of them, and they were all winners. Awesome RnR tones. Give one a try.
