  • Kramer guitar and neck find

Today was a good day found an 88-89 (not sure just yet)Kramer stagemaster custom 1 a nice aged creamy white 1 hum(Schaller golden 50's) and 1 single( not sure on it yet).
Black hardware OFR and Schaller mini tuners.
8 out of 10 shape with hard case, non original tho'.
Second find an older Kramer beak head stock neck.Rosewood board and pearl dots.
Down side its missing one fret and the clearcoat and part of the logo are missing.
Never been drilled for mounting but has been drilled for the tuner and mounting screws. Nice amber tint and nice grain to the rosewood.BTW vintage nut slot so meant for a V trem guitar.
    A good day for me.
Just played the kramer pluuged in as is and wow this is a monster.
Just to add ebony finger board with pearl beak in lays aged white binding.
This is a carved top staggie too.
Now lets go tear it apart and give it a full cleaning and set up.

I've wanted an arched top Kramer Stagemaster for a while now. Nice find.

Well after I got into cleaning I found the body wings are mahogony.
I talked to the original owner and found out the guitar has had many different pickups over the years and he drilled out the the input jack hole to fit an EMG stereo input jack.
No big deal to me I never cared for the flush mount style input jacks Kramer used.
Neck single is a USA Fender.
This guitar rocks big time nice thick chunky tone. The neck is just plain fast.
      Really? well screw Mark Twain.

Sounds real nice but a bit odd

My stagemaster has an archtop but is a neckthrough...

My stagemaster is neck thru too 1 vol 1 tone and a 3 way 1 straight hum and slanted single. The neck I found is an Elliot Easton pro II beak headstock.
Installed the missing fret on the E/E neck and polished it all up now I need to make a truss rod nut for it.
            Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I'm meeting up with DarylV tomorrow and he is going to snap some pics of a few of mine and post them here.
Finally some of my handi work will be seen on the JCF.

DarylV couldn't pry the camera from his ex so you'll have to wait.
We did meet up and troll the pawn shops.

I've had a few flat top staggies but this one is the tits.
I have found out some history from a few previous owners and it originaly came with gold hardware.
It seems to have been a custom order.I'm going to find out from the dealer this week more about it.
