I usually try to buy American guitars, but I have to tell you about this Korean made Ltd i bought. I walked into a local shop here in Myrtle Beach and saw this axe hanging on the wall and it looked quite nice, so I walked over picked it up and began playing it. Upon first playing it I couldn't believe I liked it so much, so I plugged it in and BAM !!! that thing screamed! Warm rich tones out of the neck position and the bridge pickup sounded like Heaven. It' has duncans from the factory, a solid flame top, and a 3 piece mahogany back. After eye fucking it for blemishes, cracks, or any other signs of poor build quality (which I found none of) I bought it and brought it home thinking I would grow tired of it quickly. Well this thing blew my mind and the playability factor of this thing is incredible. Nice neck profile, it weighs in around 8.5 lbs and has the tonal balls of Godzilla. A wonderful suprise in a low price point guitar. I have certainly prejudged and now I wonder how many gems i've passed up along my journey. Here it is!

I've been pretty much resistant to buy anything made in Korea, China, etc., however, after playing one of my friends EC400at, I'm about to change my stance. They are "killer" guitars and the only eclipse in ESP's lineup (that I'm aware of) that uses a thick piece of mahogany, ala Les Paul. His sounded incredibly thick and had a nice neck.

I've played a couple of those guitars - they were VERY nice. Better than Epi to be sure in terms of fit & finish, hardware, and overall quality. These are a thicker-bodied guitar than the 1000 series - more like a real LP. I agre - if you like LP's, jump on one of these. You won't be disappointed.
