DV8 Advice

I'm considering buying an ESP DV8 with the active Seymour Duncan Livewire pickups - I've never owned an ESP, but have been interested in this model for awhile.

I'd appreciate any input from forum members who've either played or owned one of these guitars - How does it sound? - How's the build quality? - What type of neck does it have? - How does it compare to a Jackson KV2?

I have a DV8-R, it's an OK guitar, I'm sure the real deal will be much better...

If it has the same neck profile as the DV8-R then it is no where near as good as the KV2 speed neck.
