  • My First Non Charvel/Jackson Guitar Dean VMNT1

Well I just got my first non Charvel/Jackson guitar. It is a Dean VMNT1 Dave Mustaine Sig and I have been playing with it for most of the day. I am pleased about how well it plays. The neck is similar to my KV2 the action is low and fast. The Live Wire Dave Mustaine Duncan’s are killer! . Mine was one of the first 500 so I also got the UNITED ABOMINATIONS CD, which was a sweet bonus. I had read Toejam’s posts on his VMNT1 and made sure that all wiring was gone over well before the Dean dealer shipped it. Mine seems to be working fine at the moment. It is Silver like Toejam’s. my KV2 is Black so I wanted it different. I really liked the Angel of Deth graphic that you can get on this guitar but it is not available until May and I was not waiting..

Nice guitar. I saw a VMNT in 48th street in NYC the other day. Are the VMNTs all USA made?

Korean for those. The bolt-on models with dot inlays are China. The only USAs are the ones with the gold hardware and flame maple tops... trans black, trans red and trans amber.

I thought of one of the Gears of War VMNTs, but $1100 was WAY too much for a Korean guitar imo. That and the angel wings one looks cooler anyway...

Congrats on the guitar, those look really nice every time I see them, even for a Dean

I like the inlays they look kind of cool. They are growing on me.Thanks Toejam yep just like yours LOL. I think there are 150 USA made sigs they are going for between $2999.00 and $3999.00 they are signed and numbered buy Dave himself. Mine is made in Korea. Talk to some Dean dealers I had a couple talked down to $999.00 on the two graphic guitars they will move there price. I just saw a new black VMNT1 go on ebay for $600 so there are some really good deals on these guitars out there. Just have them well gone over before you get one.

Yea it is pretty Sweet. I wanted thr Jackson KV Pro but could not find one so I decided to try this sig. Dave said in a few interviews I have seen that he had alot more say with the specs on this model than he ever did on the ESP.

Yes the Angel of Deth does look insane. If you look around you can get on for under a grand.
