Here's a project I just recently completed ...
The body is a one piece Padauk with a beautiful grain pattern.
Included is an Original Floyd Rose, 22 medium jumbo fret maple neck, and a '59 Trembucker.
The tone of this wood is very unique.
It's hard to describe ... it sounds sorta like maple, but not as bright or thin with alot more tonal quality.
Here's the description of the wood as listed on the Warmoth site ...
"Padouk, African (Pterocarpus soyauxii):
Bright vivid orange color which oxidizes to a warm brown with use. This waxy feeling wood has an open grain texture similar to rosewood and a tone similar to maple with great mids and attack. "
Thanks for looking.
