I like it, but can't stand how they have the jack on the face of the body instead of under the top wing. It's the same thing that bugs me about SGs.

Cool bevels, and a pretty nice paint job. But otherwise... Ugh. Steinberger tuners. 58 body style = probably neck-heavy. Limp pickups. Inlay belongs on an ES-175. Stupid (and ugly) placement of the output jack. Interesting placement of the logo on the headstock, but why change the classic Gibson typeface?
please don't put it into words, 'cause I fear what you're thinking

            57's are great pickups IMO.

I've never liked the 58's. this one is gaudy - no thanks.

I love me the Gibson V but I prefer the 67's.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

Exactly what I thought when I saw it. And they had 50 years to fix it! But, I agree, it's a great looking axe.

They moved it under the wing on the V90 in 1988. I don't understand why they've never done it that way again. I have, however, modded a few...

                    It's a lovely looking thing.
But I can't help wondering which Chinese factory made it...

Interesting. I've heard of the V90, but I'm not sure I can remember seeing one.

Beautiful guitar! I really hope Gibson will do a reissue, sooner or later...

                          Too pricey.
Hamer could build a better V for the money.
                          So could Dean.

Ah, the 24-fret models. Now I seem to remember. They had an Explorer in the same line, right, like the Matthias Jabs model?
