  • New Life for my Pacer Imperial...

Some of you may remember the Pacer Imperial I bought a while back that had the rattle-can white finish on it that I was kinda bummed out about.
Poorly done, runs/drips/errors... but she played very nice indeed.
I found a set of stock Schaller pickups for her a couple of months ago, and she sounded great too.
The last thing bugging me was the finish... I wanted her to look good too.

Well, she will have a new life.
I scored this body off e-bay last week... factory pink flip-flop.

I'll post pics once the makeover is complete...

    So,
What color are you going to get it painted?

Well, she will have a new life.
How will it have a new life if you're just swapping bodies? Did I miss something here?

Looks like the paintjob on that body is a rattle-can job too. May just be the pics though.

Is there a clearcoat on it or is it flat? Looks flat in the pics.

But where does the selector switch go?

                    Bengal,
Looks like the the selector switch is in there next to the volume control. Std layout V,T,T and the off set 3 way mini switch. This finish always looks worse in a pic than in person.

Maybe I'm blind and all but I don't see it anywhere on the body. I see the Volume and 2 tones. I see the mini switch. But looking at my Pacer right now, I don't see the slit with a hole on each side anywhere on there.

EDIT: It should be below the mini toggle hole.

Nevermind. I re-read the post and saw that it was a Pacer Imperial body. Not a Pacer Custom. The Imperial didn't have a mini toggle, it had a 3 way where the mini switch went on the Pacer Customs.

                        Carry on.

Ya, they look real nice in the flesh J/C, I agree.

I'm not tossing the other body, I'll just have some time to do it up correctly now, in blue (like the one I had way back when...).

Meanwhile... I'll have a nice axe that's as fun to look at, as it is to play.

It's a mini-three way toggle type switch... at least on this one, and my old one.

                              Hey nhspike,
This looks like an 86 or more likly an 87 body looking at the floyd route. I just love the shape of this series body. I have an 87 pacer carrera with the same route.
