Cool new Epiphones...

I really like the new Prophecy Series LPs and SGs with 24 frets. Not too crazy about the Futura Explorer, but the EM-2 isn't bad.

Those LP's look sick. Nice tops and 24 frets!
The Futura FX ain't bad... shape is a little off for an Explorer body though.

Seems that way, but these just look better than the ESP/LTD versions, IMO.

I really can't get into it. It does look like it's got pretty good access to the 24th fret, though.

It's a cool concept, what with pickups, hardware and maple tops, but the explorer looks just wrong imho. The les paul is cool as well but I don't like that headstock on a paul. Humbug.

Why ruin a cool shape like an explorer? An explorer with emgs , 24 fret and maple top would be great.

actually now that i think about it i have seen the lp and the sg (black and red respectively) in my local store, the lp looked ver nice, and was seemingly done welll, really neat inlays...

Cool re-work of the Schaller straplock design, with what looks like a normal sized button (as opposed to those tiny things on Schallers).

But otherwise... So close...

Phewf, for a minute there I thought I liked an epiphone! Turns out someone left the explorer prototype in the car during summer, that was a close one!

The LP and SG look good to me. I really like the inlays.

well the futura was the predecessor of the explorer so it is not really a case of letting the explorer sitting to much in the sun
