yes. dean imports are made of Pauwlina (sp) but they lie in the advertisements that it's mahogany.

the easiest tip off is that dean imports are so damn light compared to actual mahogany guitars

I am sure we would all like to be educated on this. Where can we find the info?

At least BC Rich is honest enough to say they use Nato mahogany for their guitars and they have the decency to not price their imports above 1000 Euros... And their custom shops are pure awesome.

But in my eyes, Dean, Dean is just... SKIDDISH...

Where the hell did 1000 Euros come from? The guitar in question was less than a third of that if it matters at all.

The guitar arrived today. It sounds decent, very well balanced and plays good right out of the box. I am going to install some Boomers on it, do a set up and I think it will be pretty sweet.

Well Dean does have some fairly expensive China made things going on... Razorback range and Dean from Hell import go for about $1100USD

The White Gold looks cool, if I were a V-man I´d definitely check one out.

Hurray for you. No one is saying they are bad guitars, I've owned a few myself and not had any complaints about them.

I know that about a year ago I saw that the Razorback and the DFH were made in China. On a recent visit to GC they appear to be made in Korea now. I dont think that justifys the price, but to me it's better than paying that amount for a Chinese made guitar.

                          they are, hands down.

ebony boards, real floyds, neck thru's and higher QC at a more reasonable price

                            Imports man, imports!!

BC Rich imports are shit, and other than 2 or 3 designs, they look like something a 14 year old would play.

I own an NJ BC RICH BICH and love it. And I also own 4 Deans and love them, and I own 3 Jacksons and love them...and 4 Gibsons and 3 Fenders.....

My point being this, there are a lot of great guitars out there and being blinded by brand bias....that is no fun at all.

yeah, imports with those features is freaking amazing! BC and Jackson have the better features our there as far as imports go

and no, not all bc rich imports are shit. judging bronze series alone would be like judging only bolt on neck dean imports.
