I'd have to disagree on the quality side... I've owned a couple of NJ series imports and they've been impeccable. And part of why BCR gets to offer OFRs for great prices is... unlike everyone else... their parent company owns Floyd Rose too...

            Yep,
The current BC Rich Imports are pretty Fan-fukin-tastic for the price. I love mine....

and if the White gold is the same quality as the 79 series, they are on the same level. Im eyeballin a 79 series ML Now.....

the easiest tip off is that dean imports are so damn light compared to actual mahogany guitars

I keep checking back to see if we can be pointed to the info that backs this up....I have yet to see it.

Mahogony can be light the KBRR's are very light as well and thery are mahogony.
I had a Hamer chapparal and it was light too.

I had a mahogany 7-string Schecter that was also pretty light. My Mark Morton Jackson is also pretty light, but it's mostly due to it having a chambered body.

I guess my point is the ole "internet expert"....comes flying into a thread with their expert opinion and when you front them out...they mysteriously disappear.....

There are a whole lot of mahogany variants that manufacturers pass off as real mahogany. They may sound and even look pretty similar, but the fact is they aren't the true Honduran or African mahogany.

                      I thought people knew that.

well it ain't in the backpages of the dean catalog.

these things have been verified by dean owners over on their forum. i'm just speaking from years and years of dean experience (and mis-experience)

must not be that important if there is no documentation.

well you would think, if Dean is guilty of false advertising and misrepresentation of their products, it would be really easy to find on the internet where all the experts lurk.
