The trem that comes on the guitar is the same as the prototype. It's made by Takeuchi and is the TRS 7 Pro. And I give you my word that this is a great trem I personally like it a lot better than the Ibanez trem and I would love to have a real Floyd but they don't make them in a low profile for 7 string.

The guitar is also being made 100% in the USA now that's why the price on Sam Ash has probably changed.

I like it and almost ordered one a year ago. Good thing I didn't! I don't care for the graphic. It would be nicer even if it were a solid metallic color. Might still get one, but I'm waiting for the "liquidation" sales when they don't move. Then.......a refin would be the order of the day!
