I went to the Frankfurt Musicfair today Part two (Crazy custom guitars)

Well here's part two of my photo journal of Frankfurt 2008 and this time I'll be talking about the crazy custom guitars there.

First of all a real movie celebrity turned up.

King Kong and his girlfriend turned up. "Pretty women out walking with Gorillas in my street..."


A skull guitar.


A double neck guitar that really gave me the creeps.


A guitar that really cuts through, made from a real Chainsaw casing.

Believe it or not, this one is perfectly playable.


Who thought that guitars could look so sexy...


A Flying V wearing chainmail.


A motorcycle parts guitar, again this was perfectly playable.

And the snake on this ESP went straight through the neck pickup.


Cute. ...wierd but cute.


The concept behind this is that you can carry it in a normal size case... Yeah...


A jack-of-all-trades instrument and a backbreaker too I suspect.

And dragons. (why do I get the feeling with this one having had a Floyd Rose at one time and having had it taken off and the cavity filled?)

This strange Turkish made double neck marries an Aud with a western solidbody and this one even has a MIDI converter at the lower neck...

Again from that Turkish company, an Aud/Strat doubleneck, slightly more conventional but still wierd.


Forget the Coral Vinnie Bell Sitar, THIS is what a solidbody electric sitar should be like.
