Just FYI, this isn't the Hanneman sig.

I've always liked urban camo too. It's actually surprising how few UC guitar are available. Jackson really should make it an option for the select series. For some models at least. SL2HUC with a matching headstock = winner!

      Beautiful wood-chopper!
      Just stunning.
Being a fan of all kinds of guitars, and neck shapes, I would dig the beefy neck... just part of it's personality!

          Looks damn nice.

I'm of the opinion that the Japs can make a guitar just as well as we can here in the states.

My RR Pro and Kamikaze are my proof.
Currently at 78 guitars - Paul Reed Smith, Jackson, Robin, Washburn, Carvin, Peavey, U.S. Masters, G&L, Hamer, Godin, BC Rich, Yamaha, Fender, ESP, Kramer, Cort, Ibanez, Aria Pro & Charvel

Looks nice to me While I prefer Jackson necks to anything else, I would still rather take this ESP neck over the Ibanez necks which are ridiculously thin to me.

Nice score! I had one of these until a few months ago(sold it to a fellow JCF'er) They are killer looking and sounding guitars. I simply could not get use to the narrow nut/string spacing after having played Charvels for so long.

that looks sweet. It reminds of a guitar one our members made a while back....

I remember awhile back that some JCF members spec'd out an SL2H Urban Camo small batch run. Wonder what happened?

guys this is not urban camo.

this is the Wehrmacht (German army WWII) winter/forest camo. that is why some thought it was a Hannemann, as that's what he's into and his sig has that similar camo design.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

Doesn't ESP specify this finish as urban camo though? I got nothing on the actual military origins, but I'm pretty sure that's what ESP calls it.

Correct. Even though I've often reffered to this finish as winter camo too.. not sure why. Aw well, it doesn't matter.

I hear ya, I have an RR Pro too, and it's on par with my KE-1T in terms of build quality. The Kelly just sounds a little bit bigger. And this ESP shows that they still know how to make guitars.

Wow. That's badass. Love the little details like the rusted bolts and hardware.

Be that as it may, as slash-ed pointed out, that's what ESP calls this finish. And these original run UC's were around long before the UC Hanneman sig IIRC.

I remember that too. Apparently it didn't gather enough interest..

Anyway, I spotted a new one on ebay:

Looks like it doesn't have the black hardware anymore. Is this because of the RoHS? The crome doesn't look too good on this finish..

there you go. either way it's very cool.

I guess at one point I saw something different, with actual forms/shapes (people, guitarists) in the camo design and that was being called urban camo, so that's what I've always associated that term with.
