  • "Dude" my bassplayer goes "My guitar fell over, can you fix it?"

...And he presented me with this...

So it "fell over" and by "falling over" sustained this kind of damage?

Who does he think he's fooling?

Anyway I'm not even gonna try repairing this.

I broke a guitar worse than that once, and a friend of mine fixed it. It had jagged streaks of gray epoxy but it played fine and stayed in tune. It even had more sustain but not as warm a sound as it had had before. That can be fixed by a good luthier.

Whether it'd be worth it, it being an Epiphone that you could replace for $300, is another question....

The guitar I broke was an Epi Olympic (Melody Maker copy). I broke the body diagonally in half, the neck broke off the body, and the headstock snapped off of the neck.

Well, the neck has sustained a lethal amount of damage at the most critical point, it's a lost case, unless I can put another neck on but that will require a massive amount of routing and I'm not sure that this Epiphone is worth that.

Put it up on eBay and let some ass clown "Shop Victoriously" for it.

Just send it back to Gibson with a note telling them the strings keep coming off the fretboard, they probably would think it looks like the same "setup" it left the factory with to them :ROTF:

You must be on the sauce.
                    You're "cracking me up" tonight.

Yeah, it could be fixed, but if someone brought it to me off the street, they would be crying in pain at my price.
If it were mine, I would break out the glue, and studs, and go for it.

Duct tape. That fixes everything. Broken guitars, bullet wounds, crying babys..
In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

Did it fall over off a building... ??? or.... Under a moving car?..... Out of his hands as he was smashing it?

Fixable but probably not worth the time.

Post it on Ebay as the Pete Townsend Signature Model.
Bon Jovi is like a frozen Coca Cola.. It's cool, it's crunchy, but when all is said and done it is still pop....
