  • A Washburn "Wonderbar" vibrato for the "Fido"

Here I am using the "Fido" during a rehearsal.

I'll be frank with you guys I love the "Fido", it has been my main studio guitar and I have used it on many performance with different bands I was in throughout the years but sometimes I reached for a whammy bar in vain.

But not anymore, because I bought a Washburn "Wonderbar" cam-trem from a buddy of mine for only ten bucks, here's a Trem unit that doesn't require routing and works really good. And so I took a drill and a screw driver and put it on...

The neck already had a Graphtec nut and roller stringtrees so there was no need for a locking nut. It stays in tune just fine and it's smooth like a pretty girl's skin.

Cool. I've always hated Kahlers, but I liked the Wonderbar.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

I like both the Kahler and the Wonderbar. The Wonderbar has a similar feel to me but you don't need a router (or routing skills) and if you have the baseplate and a tunomatic bridge you can take it back off without damage to the guitar.

Your bud IS a bud selling it for $10, I see them go for around $100 on Ebay even without the adapter plate - which most of them seem to lack. I have 4 and only one came with the baseplate.

A lot of people hate them, but the people who like them REALLY like them! Good job, man!
      Ron is the MAN!!!!
