    Just got this one in. Mahagaony, reverse headstock, H/S/S/ pickup config., arch top, body and neck binding, MOP fret inlays, ebony fretboard, Seymour Duncan Custom Custom in the bridge.

    that's sweet, congratulations! When I used to live in Houston I used to go at Rockin Robins music and they always had a ton of Robbins, all really expensice but great players and extremely well built instruments (they only had Made in USA models then)

        Very nice Alvin.

        I've said it before and I'll say it again, my USA Medley is the best guitar I own.
        Currently at 78 guitars - Paul Reed Smith, Jackson, Robin, Washburn, Carvin, Peavey, U.S. Masters, G&L, Hamer, Godin, BC Rich, Yamaha, Fender, ESP, Kramer, Cort, Ibanez, Aria Pro & Charvel

                man that is nice!
                that guy does great work.

                the only way to improve that would be dots and no middle pickup, just my preferences.

                but wow, nice neck-through there ~
                the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

                  A Medley Custom TX, the USA version of the Japan made one as shown in the 1985 catalog:


                  They were making the Medley Custom in Japan, then when they started moving production to USA in 1987, they called it the USA version the Medley Custom TX (for Texas). Read here, about 1/5 the way down:


                  Usually the USA Robins have "made in usa" on the headstock and a texas shaped logo on the back, but the Medley Customs for some reason didn't. The serial number on yours tells you it's USA as it is six digits (Japan had four). The first two digits are the year, so yours was the 1065th guitar made in 1989 in USA.
