Looks like a backwards explorer married a firebird neck and was built by teisco - using quality parts.
I am sure it plays fine, but.....It's original. I think something should have been done to make the bridge "appear" to tilt the same direction of the pickups at least.
Also not sure I would describe mahogony and walnut as similar, but honestly I have never really played a walnut guitar - just going by wood feel/weight and hardness.
