      Oh trust me, you WOULD have given up on the one I had.

      After selling this one I saw it re-appear on auction sites four or five times, so it would appear that others also found out what a rotten piece of shit guitar that was.

        yeah, i'll take your word on it. i guess during that time period the electronics were a little suspect. I have seen other models of the blackhawk (customs i think) with all the binding, trapizoid inlays, burst, etc., that is would hope sounded as good as they look. I think the M III, Q, U2 and a few others had all the tone stuff. In fact there is a LP that is a H S H made around that time ....
