    Whose making it?
    Looks nice.

Looks cool but it's missing the angled fretboard and last three frets if you truly wanted a Californian clone. This build is more of a Soloist.

Made by a single guy over in England who makes guitars for some of the local bands.

No I don't want a 24 fretter. I am having it made so that the access is the same up to the 24th fret as if it were a 27 fretter. I want 24 frets cause you get a better sounding guitar with the placement of the humbucker and bigger body.

Hamer made some custom 24 fret Calis.

Cool, I never knew that. 27 frets essentially eliminates a neck pickup...it becomes more of a middle pickup. If you truly want the best sound out of a neck pickup, it needs to go were the 24th fret would be, as it is on 21/22 fret guitars. That said, you can certainly get a decent tone out of neck pickup on a 24 fret guitar.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Looks nice. Are you going to have any inlays put in? What color are you going to go with?
Don't forget the corn. It's nutritious, delicious, and ribbed for her pleasure.

No inlays on the neck. My last 3 or 4 guitars have had none. I don't like the looks of most of them on maple boards.

              Color is going to be...

Nice. Is that a build you are doing or is someone doing it for you?

Hell yeah, that will be sweet, i loved the old Hamers.
I have a snakeskin but the headstock broke (was stepped on) a few decades ago, i glued it back, but meh, it's been sitting for ages, it's about worthy of a clock at best anymore.

Looks great, but the trem rout looks WAY too big for the Gotoh trem... is it just there for mock up?

Cool. I love the Calis, too. I wish Hamer would offer a USA Cali again. I think it would be a hit for them - and I know I would love it!

Trem rout just there for the mock up.

Alder body w/1/8" maple cap. More maple might be too bright on alder.

R5 nut. .875" neck width at 12th fret so its not the typical super thin neck - a little bit slimmer than a PC1.

                        WB Custom pick ups.

                        Birds Eye fingerboard.

Scallops have not been carved in the horn cavities yet but they will be very sleek.

                            It will have GOLD hardware!

One volume knob and a coil splitter. No tone knob.
