I don't care for it. Why did you bother ordering a Jackson custom shop if Jackson is such an inferior product? Not a wise way to spend your money. You could have bought 2 of these things. Also, FYI, Bengal may be a lot of things, but he's not a dumbass.

Well that's your opinion. In mine, he is a dumbass through and through and resorts to calling things "girly" and a solid ebony top a "veneer" (ie. making obviously inaccurate statements to support whatever point he is trying to make)... basically, stuff I recall doing in the fourth or fifth grade.
I couldn't have bought two of these for the cost of the custom. I actually ordered my Jackson so it looks practically the same. No finish, all raw wood, ebony board, etc.

Yes it is supposed to break like that when YOU smack it against a harder object.
You want it to break along the grain... makes a repair very easy and strong.

Or would you have preferred it snap clean off and require doweling.
That fact that you have to send it out for repair explains a lot about your knowledge of guitar construction.

The damage done to your headstock is easy to fix.
Little bit of Titebond II and some clamps... done.
OK... some paint touch up after that.

Dude, that top is a veneer. That's what it is. The maple on a Les Paul is a veneer. Let me educate you since I'm such a dumbass.

I sent it out for repair so I knew it would be done right and then would have the guy's guarantee on it.. also, the nut popped out, so that needed fixed, and I figured I would get a full setup done on it, pickup swap, etc. all done at the same time. I also work full time, go to school full time, and play in a band the rest of the time, so I don't exactly have the spare time to burn fixing it myself.

The bridge? The pups? The inlayless fretboard? The top? The lay out of the electronics? Strap buttons? The thin body?

My buddy has been waiting on this guitar for 18 months, its finally coming in, it looks better than I expected, I was excited and I have never seen a Jackson as nice as this thing so I entitled the thread exactly how I thought. I would have thought the "IMO" was strongly implied.

Since there is more than two pieces, on some parts of the body anyway, wouldn't that make this plywood? Expensive, but still... more that two layers and we're talking plywood. :ROTF:
