i am TRULY curious WHY the builder has a different wood between the top and the main body, in the area where a normal forearm contour would be. i am also curious why it looks as if some ebony (or filler, or what ever it is) seems to be "seeped" into the maple(?) forearm contour filler...and underneath the maple at the back underside of the guitar.

also, i am curious why this giutar looks SO much like an ibanez body....does the builder have any other shapes?

i won't comment on the headstock.

now, i haven't seen it in person - or touched/played it, for that matter - but, i am wondering what makes it so awesome. the bridge is nothing out of the ordinary, the shape is VERY common, AND while some of the materials seem to be very nice - rosewood neck, etc. - the guitar doesn't seem to offer ANYTHING out of the ordinary. i mean, MAYBE it IS like having your hands on the most sensual wood ever (no pecker jokes, please), but VISUALLY, it is very bland. even alembic layers the woods to make the instrument, AT LEAST, look like a cutting board...

while i know your defenses are up, could you please inform of us as to WHAT really makes this giutar so much "better"....and could you address the issue of the mysterious light-colored wood where a forearm contour appears to have been covered?

Now, take that quote, and break it down into something nice and easy for you. "I have not played this guitar." So case B is true. But, case A could be (and is) false. I played one before, through a 5150. Playability wise it was on par with a Parker Fly (which is to say, much better than any of the USA Jacksons I've ever played) and tonally with a lot of gain it sounded like most guitars do when run through a 5150 set to Totally Pissed Off except with the kind of note definition and articulation you would expect from a 28 5/8" baritone tuned to E standard.

I mean who goes through all the trouble to cut a forearm contour only to fill it back in (with a different colored piece of wood mind you) and then cap it with a veneer?

i know. i am a fan of exotic wood guitars, but that use of wood seems like a mistake. if the builder WERE going for a "tone wood" sandwich, it would make more sense to layer a COMPLETE piece of contrasting wood beneath the top and back.

i don't get it, and i'd liie to be educated about it. it just seems odd...
