  • Dean Mustaine Angel of Deth

Well, i want to get a new guitar, but i cant decide between the Dean mentioned or an RR24. Could anyone help me out? I cant play either because i have to order them first, so any input from you guys would be appreciated. And yeah, please no Jackson bias, haha.

Dean graphics look cheesy, and cheap. I'd go with a solid color if I were you.
          Sleep!!, That's where I'm a viking!!

RR24 is probably going to be built and finished a bit better. I agree Dean graphics flirt the line with being cool or cheesy, and they are just big chunks of vinyl.

Well, i live in Malaysia, so yeah. The only RR available at shops to play is the RR3.

well thats a very similar neck profile....only difference is the lack of neck pickup and neckthrough...play that and see if u like it?

Jackson is a lot better quality of guitar than Dean

IMO the Dean looks better, its a killer graphic (not paint) but hell, if you want the best guitar then go with the RR24

Well, i'm just worried about the lack of versatility with the RR24. I mean, sweeping sounds better through the neck. And how do the Livewires compare with the EMG81 by the way?

I have the Angel of Deth and I love it. I wasn't very impressed with the Live Wires, although I could have a bad battery from the factory. the graphic looks great though and it is very comfortable to play. I haven't played an RR24 so I can't comment on that for you but you wouldn't be disappointed with the Dean.

The Dean Mustaine comes with the Dave Mustaine Seymour Duncan Blaco-out pick-ups. I sold one of these guitars a couple of weeks ago and honestly, I thought that it played and sounded great!

No, they're not Blackouts. They're his signature Livewires, which are basically active versions of the JB and Jazz. I've got one of the guitars, a silver one. The pups are pretty good, just a tiny bit more gain and a little tighter bass than the passive versions.

Wow, finally someone that actually owns it. Could you upload some pics of it bro? I want to see how it looks like IRL, not images from MF and the such. And could you take a pic of the neck heel too? A demo of the axe on youtube would be great too. Thanks man.
