Too bad I just got my increase notice for my ARM - it's going up almost $500/month in September...

I'll have to see what the re-fi is gonna cost me before I make any big purchases!

Jim's tele looks pretty damn cool... gotta love that it has a mahogany body and a lot of weight...

how's the neck? I really like Richie Kotzen tele's neck wich is huge, Is it kinda similar?

too bad it doesn't have a tone controll... don't like the EMGs either but they are replacable

I really want a mahogany tele

Modern C shape with a 12" radius. Not fat by any means.

Just got the word right from the horses mouth.

He is still using the Rockerverb's. He had a custom made head that was a basic Rockerverb but with a Thunderverb poweramp and he didn't like it as much as the regular Rockerverb. So he's staying with that for now.

            He loves the Oranges.

Yep, and yep. We got in on a sweetheart deal, but the "housing crisis" has cost us everything we gained and more. We got in 4 years ago - we've probably lost about $25,000 in equity in the last 2 years.

It's meatier than a normal tele neck, but has the flatter radius. Overall, it's pretty comfortable - I liken it to a 60's LP profile. It reminds me of my Les Paul Classic.

Do people actually use a tone control?

                    Just waiting for our set...

We've been working with a mortgage guy for about 3 months now, but it's really just been a "wait & see" thing. My biggest concern is how things appraise out, which is the wildcard in the whole deal. I've got some money ferreted away for this, but I'm afraid to think of how much of it I'll have to use.

Sounds like I'm re-building his rig - and I'm not even the biggest fan out there! The way he's got stuff put together just really strikes a chord in me (no pun intended), and I guess we have similarities in taste...

                        ...but not in skills.

I dunno... usually shape and radius doesn't really give me the idea about the thickness... Kotzen's tele has a modern C shape too and with a very flat fingerboard radius but it's still pretty thick

Dammit... Fender hasn't shipped it out my new white JR tele yet. But at least it isn't on backorder.

The other guitarist im the band im in has a kotzen tele, ive got smaller hands and im used to a gibson scale/radius/neck thickness.

The kotzen tele was almost unplayable to me. Biggest "baseball bat" neck since the kramers back in the 80s, IMO.

Bengal, thats suprising jim is using the oranges for SK. I would picture the rivera getting a better tone for that band. I live right down the street from jim, bs'd with him a week or so ago, he was out in his driveway working on his roadrunner.
Its a complete catastrophe. But Im a professional, I can rise above it. LOL
