Jim Root Telecaster - Anyone playing one?

Bengal, thats suprising jim is using the oranges for SK. I would picture the rivera getting a better tone for that band. I live right down the street from jim, bs'd with him a week or so ago, he was out in his driveway working on his roadrunner.

Ah yes, the new Roadrunner. Pretty sweet.

He told me he thinks Oranges mix great with other amps. Be it Micks Riveras or Joshs H&K's. I guess they blend well.

I would have thought he'd use Rivera too.

Didn't answer the last time you asked, and can't answer this time either. I use 10's.

If it doesn't, what can you do? Buy it! Worry about the little stuff later.

I'm pretty sure they will fit. I don't remember Jim having to use different tuners to fit his low .58. He has Schaller Locking Tuners on some and stock Fender tuners on others. Both seem to work just fine.

I wouldn't worry about it.

My guitar was supposed to be here on 6/27. Got a call from GC today - the last shipment Fender got in was "damaged". ANOTHER fuckin' month to wait on a FUCKIN' STOCK GUITAR!!! FUCK!!! Every fuckin' time I special order something, it arrives fucked up, or it doesn't ship on fuckin' time, or it's on fuckin' extended backorder - AFTER I'VE ORDERED IT!!! WTF am I fuckin' doing wrong??

Geez... I mean if it was once in a blue moon, but it's LITERALLY EVERY TIME I special order something - it's always SOMETHING. I mean, shit, I go to church, I work hard, I'm nice to people, I don't kick my dog, and I've been patient with these orders every time... What the heck do I need to do???

I think it's time to quit playing rock star, sell all my shit and grow up or something. It's too expensive and too aggravating. I don't need this shit - just another thing in a long line of things that have really fuckin' fucked up my fuckin' day.

Not sure what the difference is between the Peavey Generation EX & EXP, but Musician's Friend & Music123 have the EX Custom for $199. Strange that other places are selling them for up to $500.

Ah, now I'm less confused - the "Peavey Generation Custom EX" actually says EXP on the headstock. lol

Yeah... I was "having a day" yesterday. But it still sucks.

I just can't imagine how it is that EVERY TIME I special order or pre-order something, this always happens. It's almost to the point where if I can't just laugh about it, I'll have to cry.

I could have built one on my own by now. When it didn't come in on the 4th, they pushed it out to 8/23.

NEW DATE - 'maybe October'. Fuck Fender. Can't tell you a fucking thing. Why is it on backorder?? "I don't know". Fuck. It's a goddam stock fucking guitar.

Un-fucking believable. I'm done with Fender. This will be the last new purchase they'll ever get from me.
