I have always wanted a prs but can't afford one. so I got this instead. I wish it had body binding and the pickups sound OK, they look stupid black with cream rings too. Great player and construction.

I want to change the pickups to zebras. I have a duncan designed jazz that will go in the neck, but I can't decide between the SD custom and a Dimarzio super 3( not spending any money). Maple cap and body.
Any Opinions on the 2 pickups for maple?

Well, with the bright maple cap and body, I'd side with the Super 3. But the Custom might work good also. So just try them both and tell us which sounds best

I was doing some fire effects on a music video for some band known as "Dog-Faced Gods" and the guitar player had one. It was an Ibanez SZ320 copy that had an EMG in the bridge and some other unknown passive pickup in the neck. It was pretty sharp.

But then I found my REAL Ibby SZ320 in a pawn shop not long afterward. It's THAT MUCH sharper.

A few years ago I checked out all the import archtop guitars. I passed over the Ibanez and bought a Schecter C plus and a Washburn X50. Those 2 make the ibby look like firewood.

Super 3 is really bright to begin with AFAIK. I'd go Custom.
