Most excellent! You know I'm jealous of that handrest.....I really want to find one for my LNG. The condition looks perfect on that one. Very nice.

Awesome. The last dead mint Jem I had was a BSB, the condition was untouched NOS. Still had plastic on the pickguard and everything. But it was torture and I ended up selling it because I was too torn between playing it and keeping it in great shape as a collectible.

Thanks. I thought of yours and your search for the handrest when I saw this one...I've been keeping an eye out for you but I haven't seen one yet. There was a DY on Ebay in mint condition with a handrest that just sold (backdoored for $2600) this week...first time I saw one on something other than a LNG.

Looks like it's been left in a time capsule since 1987. You're incredibly lucky and I'd love to own one of those

Thanks again all. Although this is basically an investment piece (I was losing too much money in my 401K so I converted a bit of it into items that I believe will hold/increase in value), I would still like to play it a bit at home (no gigging). My concern is the Cosmo Black finish on the trem and especially the neck plate as these seem to wear pretty easily. Does anyone know of something that can be used to cover them up/protect them (clear tape maybe?)?

Correction...this was not a one-owner guitar. The guy that I got it from only had it for about 6 months.

This guy started out at $4800, dropped to $4500, then $4300, and now $4200, all in the same auction (no relists)...must be a bit impatient to sell this one.
