Dave Navarro used one just like that in the video for Mountain Song.

There's wood soap you can use on maple necks that have wear areas. It leaves the 'wear' and gets the grit and grey out of the area.

It will clear out previous owner's DNA!

DY is my fave color. The finish on the neck is polyurethane and not lacquer.
You could strip the neck finish and just oil it but I doubt the darkness already there would come off.Cool just as it is.The F means its made in Japan 91.
          Really? well screw Mark Twain.

The F indicates that it was made in the Fujigen factory, not that it was made in 1991. The first number after the plant code indicates the year of manufacture for Ibanez guitars of this period, with the next 5 numbers representing the production number. So there.

The red one is an '89 (pre 7xx series) RFR 570, but basically it's a 770

Here's a better pic. You can see I had all the black dots in the 550 neck pulled, and replaced with dots of various different colors (it was $20 extra during a refret, so I figured why not?)

They've been breeding, there's a blue one now as well, my three don't do that, have I got faulty ones?

Where would I go for a versatile high end rock and metal guitar with a maple board? Right now EB/MM. But that's me.

Both are high quailty. Those Ibanez fans will tell you the Ibanez is higher quality. They might be right. I've never played a RR24.
*** Trouble is the EB/MM neck is fat...like a Les Paul! Who would want
                            that? (oh thats right...YOU! LOL

That is a sweet score! As stated before, throw some pink/green on there and I would be in heavan! THAT guitar is the reason I started playing again...everytime I saw it in those damn videos, I started to drool!! GREAT TRADE!
