The guitar on the left is a 1990 S540LTD.
Yeah it also explains why I found the current S-models to be playable, the old "wizard" neck profile just made my hand cramp up, way too thin for my taste.
My Gambale was insanely thin. Made the guitar feel like a toy.
But it only had 22 frets.

My main issue with the current ones is they've thickened them up over the years, and have the ZR, which I am not crazy about. One of their great strengths was that they were extremely thin. They also had a very classy look to them with the inlays and finishes they used to do. That said, the guitars were not without their flaws; almost overly small necks, fragile neck pockets, and input jacks that screamed "break me!". I liked mine, but the neck was just too small.
