Ibanez swirls, you either love them or hate them. This is a 2000 DNA model in which they put a bit of Steve Vai's blood in to the paint, thus the name and themed fretboard inlay. A bit more than I was looking to spend on a guitar but GC had it at one of their stores for a price that was too good too pass up and it arrived in dead mint condition. I was going to sell it quick to make a few bucks but decided to keep it for now because I won't be able to replace it for anywhere near what it cost me and I definitely don't mind it kicking around the house for a while.

Looks pretty cool. I never paid close attention to the inlays on these till I just saw the last pic you posted. I think the inlays look even better than the DNA Swirl itself!Rudy

I browse their listings daily and saw it shortly after it was posted. Didn't try to haggle, I just paid as quickly as I could. Funny thing is that he said it had been in their store for a month with no takers, as soon as it went online he got at least four calls within a few hours.Last edited by Tonelover; 07-31-2008, 01:04 PM.

Swirl connisseurs are a particular bunch. This one has a good bit of black on the bottom front so I'd personally give it an 8 or 8.5 out of 10 on the swirl scale, but it has lots of colors elsewhere and is still pretty impressive. I've seen better and I've seen worse but it suits me just fine.
