They are supposed to be very great. I have to other Kramers and I love them. I think that a fair price on them would be $600 to $800.

I have heard of issues though with the Sustainers wearing out, so be careful and try before you buy if possible.

I've got one in black, 1989 Kramer 'American'. It's got really weird feel, somehow all strings feel lower tension on this guitar than they really are. I paid £450.

I played one of those recently, and thought the neck on it was damn nice. It was going for $700 or so IIRC.

I think you will. I didn't have that model, but I had an early 90's Stagemaster (neon pink, also). That guitar rocked. Too bad I was too poor and too stupid to sell it in '96.
                    The Guitars:
Jackson USA SL2H, Jackson Performer PS-4, Gibson Les Paul Studio Gothic, Ibanez JS-1000, B.C. Rich Mockingbird ST, Martin GPCPA5 Acoustic, 14 Warmoth customs, Ibanez Artcore AS73, Ibanez Prestige SR1000EFM Bass
                    The Amps:
Peavey JSX 212 with JSX 412 cabinet, Ampeg B2R with Ampeg Portaflex PF210HE cabinet

A friend of mine owned a Sustainer that had the actual sustainer removed, probably due to problems with it. It was a very nice guitar, but he felt it didn´t quite stack up to the (admittedly especially stunning) Stagemaster Archtop he still plays, and sold it a while later.

I sayid that price if all the electronics are good and it's in an overal good condition. But it's true that those sustainers wen't bad. Maybe because you couldn't get replacement parts for that system. Anyway, how much are they asking for the one that you might get?

$675. I just put it on layaway Saturday with a deposit over the phone. Because of my work schedule I won't be able to pick it up for a couple of weeks.
