    My Charvel Tribute

    Sooo, I had a lot of parts just lying around. All I needed was a body, a battery box, and that is it. I had a Zakk Wylde EMG kit, a Schaller 475 bridge, Gotoh tuners, and a Warmoth quartersawn maple Strat-style neck with 6100 frets. By the way, the battery box is a double, for the 18v mod.

    I decided to make a Charvel tribute. The only thing I am wondering is if I should just go ahead and swap out the fixed bridge for a Floyd and put a locking nut on. If I did, this might become my most favorite guitar ever.

      Thanks, it is very playable. It's funny, I love DiMarzios and use them on practically every build. I had the EMGs lying around and decided to use them. I really like them in this particular build.

          I'd keep the fixed bridge and put in a Super III/Pafpro set up for me, I like how the knob is out of the way too.

            Killer pup choices, for sure. However, I love the EMGs in this build. What I hate, however, is the bridge. If you bend the high E string above the 12th fret, the string pops off of the bridge roller. I found a local luthier who can route the body for a floyd and do the nut prep on the neck for a locking nut. Floyd ordered.

              yeah it needs a floyd
              If it's not a CHARVEL then i dont want to play it,look at it or even fuckin THINK about it!

                i think it looks great as it is. I think a floyd with those woods and pickups would make ur sound too bright and thin as well.
