  • ONE OF A KIND Scorched Earth Dime Razorback

Just got pics back of the Dean Razorback Scorched Earth Guitars did for Ride For Dime Philly. It started out as a metallic pearl white guitar when we sent it to them, Here is the result.....

Needless to say, we're all quite amazed at how f'n sick it looks! We weren't too sure how we were gonna raffle or auction it since we're already raffling off a set neck Dime Razorback V with the Dimesline green bevels and a Dime ML Shadow signed by Devildriver. Probably gonna go via silent auction....not sure what to set the reserve at tho.....
Transitioning from Retired Musician from cover bands to a Full time vocalist/frontman/guitarist in an original and covers band....it's been a while and this should get NASTY!

pretty cool. i like burnt guitars. i used to dump gas on some of my guitars that were refinished in auto-laquer first, then burn them. they looked cool....hmmmm, i may have to do that again!!
    GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

    and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

LOL When Joe our President said what they were gonna do to the guitar I was skeptical..... Fire? Burn it? It was brand new. Needless to say when I saw the pics I ate some crow for sure.:ROTF:

Neat Finish, ugly guitar, lame brand.

            Still a nice geet though.

Reminds me of the burnt wood framed velvet Elvis pictures you used to be able to get at flea markets.

One of those bluish/greenish ones (BSB) like Steve Vai had?

                  I've always loved this!

I think if you sold tickets on it then it would reach a higher dollar figure...think about how many people would chuck a few bucks for a chance to win it and think about how most of those people would be 'out of the running' in auction format...just a thought.
My Duncan Designed pickups are way better than Seymour Duncan regular pickups you fanboy.

Yeah...too bad the forum doesn't have a minimum IQ.

That's what I thought at first too, but with the other 2 guitar raffles it would thin out. This is gonna be more of a collectors item as the other 2 are way better models to begin with so in my mind, the players are gonna get in on those....set neck, nice Floyd Rose Lic trems, real duncans and binding. Real nice players for sure (not my cup o tea, but nice all in all nice axes) We have a reserve, if it doesn't reach it I think it will go to Texas next week where it surely will with all that's going on there.

                            Joe,
No, but the BSB was the inspiration for this RG.

It's a RG421 that Josh Rand of Stone Sour burnt to shit. The sides and back are still black but the top is pretty scorched. I have pics at home that I can post later if I remember.

Its a great thing to do in Dimes memory! Props to that! :headbang:

Speaking JUST of the guitar...I agree with Zeegs and Sonicsamurai...It reminds me of one of those cheesy burned wood plaques that they would get you to shellac your picture to, in scouts...You see them at flea markets and yard sales now...

The Dime likeness on the back is cool though!
