        I got the pup info directly from the gibson website just in case there were changes i wasnt aware of. But the faded studios come with the 490 and 498 according to the gibson site. The ones at musicains freind and GC do have Burst bucker pros. However that is exclusive for GC and MF. Theres also a way to tell by the hight adjusting screws. If its a flat head screw its the 490, 498. If its philips ead screw its the burst bucker pros. This was told to me by a Gibson rep and physically confirmed by myself.

            Gil, you said, "There are some studios with maple caps but they are thinner maple than the STD is." I took it to mean SOME of the other regular Studios (not the vintage mahogany run for MF/GC) did not have maple caps.
