My 1984 Ibanez Roadstar RS 225 is an amazing guitar: sounds killer, has a smooth vibrato with almost no detuning even after extreme dive bombs, a real workhorse guitar.
But I figured that the old girl could use a little makeover, just to add some class. So I bought two chrome pickup mounting rings which replaced the black plastic ones (which needed to be replaced anyway because they were cracked) and I took off the black "Sure-grip" knobs and replaced those by two chrome "dome" telecaster style knobs. The result is really striking.
There are a lot of gigs coming up for Slavantas so she's gonna see a lot of action.
