Hmm, no clue why they deleted you. LOL
And, no, I don't have the Quadrails in any more. They did sound pretty good, a little on the dark side, but I had a Duncan Parallel Axis Distortion put in the bridge with a DiMarzio Super 2 in the neck. At the moment, I don't have any pickups in it because I put the Duncan in my RR1T and the Floyd is being used in my Brian Moore guitar. The paint is so nice, I might just hang it on the wall!I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

I got to play that very guitar (trans blue) at the Kramer Expo this year. Played amazing and sounded really good as well. The neck is just a tad thicker than I like, but not enough to make me dislike the guitar. It's an oil finish as well, so sticky clear or anything like that on it.

The reissue Pacer is ghost-built for Kramer/Gibson by a local, and renowned, Nashville luthier.
It will street out at around the price of the new mass-produced Charvels. One pint of difference is that the Pacer will use real Schaller tuners and a german OFR/nut. The pickups are Gibson ones.

Jon Hill..wow, he got around eh..?
I remember when he used to bring his first ones to the local stores. They were naturals at first. Then he tried painting them...that was bad. Soon, all my friends and local bands were playing them. He made some very nice stuff...basses too.
He went out of biz and moved to Florida for awhile..right after the Grunge movement. Nice to hear about him again.
He was visiting a friend of mine last night...I had to get off the phone...weird."Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!
"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.

It would still be cool to have a little elaboration on the 'how' he knows about the ghost builder and such...and who that builder is...or whatever info he is at liberty to discuss. My Duncan Designed pickups are way better than Seymour Duncan regular pickups you fanboy.

It's not a secret actually. I'd say a lot of folks on the Kramer Forum know this info. The folks who go to the annual Kramer Expos get a lot of 'inside' info too. We used to do an annual tour of the Tennessee Gibson plant until they stopped it this year. Personally, I had the privilege of starting the Kramer forum in '02, though it kind of runs itself now. Sometimes I get early dibs on info, but there's not much else I can tell you on the reissue Pacers. All Gibson has told us is that the Pacers are being built by a known Nashville builder.
They really are great guitars and I wish I could swing one right now--though I do prefer junky vintage ones.
