OK - it got here today . The back of the neck was kind of rough ( a liberal use of 0000 steel wool smoothed it out nicely.Of course I had to adjust the floating trem.Frets need to be polished , I will be doing that and conditioning the neck at next string change.
It's bigger and heavier than I had anticipated, but that's alright - as it won't see too much use. There's 1 original I have that it will be cool to pull out for gigs -
no idea about the body wood -untill I pull a neck off to look in the pocket , the cavities are painted.
The overall sound is pretty good
