  • Attn: B.C.Rich guys

I found a neck plate in my parts bin, and I can't remember what it came from.

    It's black and it's stamped 'B.C.Rich tm' the # is 3651.
I forgot how to decipher the BcRich serial numbers, and thought I'd ask you guys first.
Not sure if it's a USA or an Import?

    Any help would be awesome!

I'll ry to get a picture up on here if that would help?

I didn't wanna give it away if it was from a USA or something real cool.

It could be either to be honest , I've seen US gunslingers with that plate on them as well as NJ series, in the world of BC rich the neck plate and serial number. tells you nothing I'm afraid.

US plates will say L A California USA B, BC,or BO prefix with 4 or 5 digits after. 99% of them were black. chrome & gold were import. very early ones had an unmarked brass plates, with serials stamped into the neck.

Ok that does spark a memory actually. I remember the 'LA plates.' and the 'B' prefix, and the 4 digits.
B.C.Rich plates never did tell you much about them, so dating them by the plate is near impossible unfortunately.
Kind of like a Ft.Worth plate, unless you have the whole guitar to cross reference with a catalog or memory, you are screwed.

That's mainly why I though this might be a USA, cause of the 4 digits, but I figured I'd ask you guys to be certain. Even though this is primarily a J/C site, alot of you guys are schooled in other brands as well.
There's so much untapped knowledge on this board. I said it a few times before, but I really do learn atleast 1 new thing everyday on this board.
            I love it!!!

Thank you for your help j2379!
I'd also like to thank Gartron and Burn for their quick replies as well. You guys rock!

Was the LA Series made in the USA?
