Warmoth Bloodwood Soloist

The body is one piece mahogany, with a maple veneer between the mahogany and the carved bloodwood top. The neck is an "unknown" Bolivian wood. The tuners are Planet Waves and the fingerboard is ebony.

The pups are a DiMarzio X2N in the bridge, a Tone Zone S in the neck, and a Chopper in the middle. The dots are MOP, and the trem is an OFR. All pots are 500k, and the cap is 0.022 uf.

Alvin: The frets are .090" X .055 in., and they are gold, as well.

Jacksonfreak: In Jackson parlance, you are absolultely correct, since it isn't a neck-thru. However, Warmoth calls this body style a Soloist. It sounds...kick ass!

Unknown wood from Bolivia... sounds a bit odd coming from a company that does wood for a living. Maybe they´re quietly selling off a stock of endangered/blacklisted/protected wood they have left? But that actually makes no sense either, now that I think about it, since I believe you´re perfectly allowed to sell remaining stock... they probably just got it in a shipment and decided to try it out.

Another excellent build! I do have a couple of comments and trust me, I'm not being critical because you do outstanding work.

1) It may be camera angle, but the headstock seems to be short. It appears that the tuners are really close to the end of the headstock.

2) Did you consider finishing the headstock to match the body?

LOL, thanks Seegermany. It must be the camera angle because the headstock is perfect, to me. I didn't really consider finishing the headstock to match the body because there is no bloodwood headstock laminate, for one, and two I think the color of this wood complements the body. BTW, the neck is raw, and is Warmoth-authorized raw.
