        The aren't desperate, they just now people will buy these atrocities. The reverse V's sold out so some guy in the idea depart decide the could probably sell these for a pretty penny to people who will probably let them live in the case.

          Uh oh, it looks like Gibson's busted out the emergency crack supply again.

                  Close. The headstock in question was actually on the MODERNE. The headstock on the FUTURA (an Explorer prototype) was a split V with three tuners on the top V and three tuners on the bottom V. This style headstock became extremely popular on Robin guitars except the tuner configuration was four top, two bottom.
