I just recently bought an ephiphone with a trem. The weight of the guitar is like an old LP, but the trem ("Floyd" lite) is awful. I'm gonna have a REAL Floyd installed and since I already replaced the pick ups with SDs I think I'm gonna end up with a pretty awesome little axe for well under what they are asking for the Gibson version...

You guys really think Gibson should be releasing these guitars at a $900.00 price point? With an OFR, PLEK, USA build (custom shop I think I read in my GC catalog?), good electronics, etc??? C'MON. Whats a normal LP standard these days 2000.00?? Thats only anohter 400.00 bucks. I think it's high still, as I think a normal lp's price is high (just like I think normal San Dimas are kinda high priced). But 900.00?? I would be pretty happy if they were between 1500.00-1800.00.

Yeah. I am for them making a Studio version of this... Or even bring back the old Studio Lite with a F/R from the late 80's early 90's. That would bring the price down low enough to make many people purchase one.

This is agreat playing and sounding guitar. I've played 3 different ones at 3 Guitar Centers and they were all perfect. The tummy cut is nice, and considering the amount of wood taken out for the trem, it still sounds Les Paulish. Considering it's a custom shop guitar, and not a regular USA guitar, it's an ok deal.

yeah. i played the two in Springfield nj and they both felt very nice. The neck joint is well done but don't expect it to be really thin. All of the access is there but it is a fuller heel than what I was expecting to see. that being said. if i could afford to grab one i would.

Yes, they are weight relieved. I think they are great although overpriced. I believe they are around 3500. With that kind of cheddar, I would buy a Killer Jackson CS first though.

I wonder how long they will last.

I read somewhere on another forum that they have made 150 of each color. Ice Tea and Gun Metal Grey.
