          Nice.
I got myself a Kramer Focus 2000 this past summer. A late 80's one with the model name on the truss cover and 2 humbuckers. I got a set of Mighty Mite Motherbuckers and a set of SD Distortions that I will put on the Kramer at some point, but I don't know what set to put on.

It's a great axe. The neck feels awesome. You'll love yours.
          Cheers.
          G.

            Nice F-3, it's been a while since I saw a blk/blk one! Very nice!!
There's nothing wrong with the Focus series at all man! Actually most of the Kramer line were good, with the exception of some or most of the Strikers, cause they had plywood bodies.
            Enjoy your new baby!

Its a solid player. I have had a few of these over the years but never one with a pickguard.OFR tension plate is missing the tab on the small E string but I had another one so no problem. It was missing a cap on one of the tuners I had another so again not a problem.
The pots are 250 K's so the humbucker is a little weak but it will get an RS pot upgrade kit next week.
These are really great guitars this one looks to be of the 85-86 time frame due to the non tilt droopy headstock and small letter logo. MIJ tho' which should be a LiSiDo or ESP neck,The body has the correct contours like the USA Pacers and is Basswood.
              Killer neck too.
I have had lots of the later series focus's and quite a few USA Barettas and BII's a nightswan or two I still have an 87 stagemaster custom 1 that will never get sold.

That is ESP built and is probably alder.

Great guitars when you consider all it might need is a 500k pot to get the tone right (Maybe even a JB or SD)
I'd try clipping the cap on the pot first and see if that helps...

What other sub-$300 guitars came with the potential of these out of the box?
None...even today you can't beat em...

The stagemaster is just about the best guitar over all that Ive had in the Kramer line.
The NS's were a close second I need to find a NS I miss them.

Cool thing about the stagemaster it was a special order put in by Willcutt Guitars.
The body wings are mahogony and it originally had gold hardware.
The person that bought it is a friend of mine and he changed the hardware to black because the gold started to wear.He has tons of pics for reference if I need them.
Its the perfect weight and plays like a dream.
Another friend of mine has a stagey with a toy soldier graphic over hot platinum pink.I hope to be able to get that one someday.

Jackson Dinky. Loved that thing. A ton o' dough at the time..$389.00!
                            Ouch. Great player though...nice neck
