Please forgive my ignorance, but what is a Caparison? Is it a brand of guitars, or a model?
I've heard Toejam talking about them on here but I never asked.

They're a brand of guitars. The only player I know of who uses one is Michael Romeo of Symphony X.

andy laroque from king diamond plays them too. they are cool, but pricey.

They're a Japanese company, and I believe they're former designers and employees from the Japanese Jackson/Charvel factory. Another band that plays them is Evergrey.

Orbit - neck-through, 27-fret, Rhoads
TAT - neck-through, 24-fret, Strat
Horus - bolt-on, 27-fret. Strat
Denlinger - bolt-on, 24-fret, Strat
Angelus - set-neck, 22-fret, PRS

I believe Romeo plays the Horus.

All the cool Swede bands were playing them first. KSE toured with Arch Enemy some years ago..and was turned onto those guitars at that time. Mike Amott was always a gibson dude..but his bro Chris always used them.

Yessiree - great guitar, got to check it out up close & personal when they came though SoCal this summer...super nice guy, super nice guitar!

He's stoked to finally see some money coming his way, think I need to buy one now!

Wished they had a maple fretboard version....maybe then i'd get one (and if they weren't soo damn expensive, LOL)....
