Ikebe Gakki refuses to ship a new Caparison to the USA... I would expect that Ishibashi is the same at this point... but I would love for someone to prove me wrong.

My local music shop stocks them but I can't gel with that headstock. Ruins the guitar for me.

Hi, new guy here. Saw this thread and decided to share.

I own two caparisons 2006 Dellinger II Oiled Mahogany (purchased new from japan) and a 1996 TAT Red Sunset (purchased used about a year ago). Also included are pics of my friends Dellinger HGS Midnight Blue and Horus Snow Cloud that I've played myself.

This last picture is meant to show how the neck is straight on the TAT model and the body curved to improve playability.

So far the TAT is the best playing and sounding guitar I've ever played, its only flaw is that painted neck, but that's just my personal preference...

        Got any questions ask away.

Nice, I hear that Horus have the thinnest necks, is that true?

Big difference switching from the TAT to the Horus in terms of neck and scale length??

ok well the dellinger and the horus have virtually the same neck profile, something between a jackson soloist and a 60s LP neck. its really quite comfortable so dont be put off by that. the horus might be considered a tad thinner, i found it a lil bit thinner but its really not noticable unless your looking for it. my friend couldnt see the difference. the 96 TAT on the other hand has the thinnest neck on any caparison. its really wide and quite thin, almost ibanez like but beefier feeling. the newer TAT necks have gotten bigger i hear from other users.

the reason i dont have a horus or an angelus guitar (i do want them) is due to the scale lenght difference. i have big hands and fat figners so its really tough for me to play the shorter scale. plus the horus has the 27 frets which are impossible to use cuz theyre so tiny. but it does have that awesome look.

tonewise the dellinger and the horus are pertty much the exact same thing so no worries about that at all.

Sweet, thanks. My memory must have failed me. In the process of negotiating for a Horus..but not too sure about the scale length as I have played 25.5 for most of my playing time..

well think of it this way. if you are comfortable with playing gibson guitars then it should be fine neck wise, just imagine it had 5 frets more on the high side :P

Do they offer a reverse headstock version as I think it would look better pointing down?
The ones at my local store all look very well made, I just can't stand the look of the headstock so I've never picked one up.

Yeah, I definitely smell a pork product of some type.
