  • Next Warmoth Project

Hey all, thanks for all the kind words regarding my Warmoth projects. I found yet another I couldn't live without.

The body is a one-piece alder with a quilt maple top, dye finished. The neck I ordered is flame maple with a wild flame fingerboard. 6100 SS frets. Black dots. The hardware will be chrome.

Even though the pic is SSS config, the final routing will be for HxH and the bridge will be a recessed Floyd.

Pups will be a Tone Zone in the bridge and a PAF 36th Anniversary (DiMarzio) in the neck. 3 way switch.

It will have a black pickguard. I can hear Nhspike now..."clear pickguard"!!!

That is nice Doc, it's too bad it's top routed, cause that finish is tits!

I don't normally care for blue guitars, but that sure is pretty. Did you even consider black hardware?

I did, actually, but ultimately decided upon chrome. I think it will go well with the body color.

Truth be told, I have a Jackson USA Soloist with a natural finish. I always thought it would have looked better with gold hardware; it came with chrome. I'll be taking all the Jackson hardware and putting it on this body, and replacing it with gold hardware.

To me, this body looks like something you could go swimming in...chrome would just enhance that ideology, IMHO.

Yeah, that's really nice. Too bad most of it's gonna be hidden with pickguard.

Chrome = perfect. I've never liked black hardware on blue guitars for some reason. BTW, that top is unreal.

Thats just a Damn shame! Meaning that the quilt is soo stunning, that
imo it should have 2 humbuckers, and Not a pickguard! Your covering
up too much beauty!! What an awesome top...

Thats great, Clearly stunning and an amazing work of mother nature. However, anyone who is associated with it should be placed in leg irons for top routing that guitar. I said my peace.

Having built a few warmoths and yelled at them constantly - see it has done no good. Alas, I will go into a long period of sadness. Build it and try to save what left of that fantastic maple. Love to see pics when your done.

Thanks guys. Fell in love with it as soon as I saw the pics of it. I've been out of the country for the last week and just got back today. The body and parts were delivered to my office and I should be able to pick this up tomorrow.
