  • Washburn flying v?

I just came across this auction - looks fairly close to a Y2KV doesn't it

Has anybody seen these Washburn v's before?

    Holy Sh*t!!!!!

I guess Washburn doesn't have a "Gentlemen's Agreement" with Gibson and have basically bent over and showed Jackson and Mustaine where they can file any complaints about artist similar guitars.

I saw a Washburn plain white roundhorn V with an ebony board in a buyer's guide earlier this year. It looked really good.

Might be of the same series as that one minus the graphic.

If it didn't have the graphic then I'd get it!! Don't get me wrong - I have nothing against the American flag, but I just wouldn't have it on a guitar..

Looks just like a Y2KV minus the star position markers. Even the headstock looks 100% Jackson.

Hey, a flag with a dragon on it is automatically cooler than any other flag.

Washburn makes some nice stuff. I am seriously considering an Idol NC70

I've been pretty happy with the Washburns that I've had. The only one I have right now, happens to be a flying V, an especially gorgeous one IMHO.

                      This one's from 1983.

Aweman. I had a Washburn V back in the late 80s. I loved it but had to sell it for bills. It was mohagony and had a great neck. Nice tone too. Once i swapped out the pups that is.

Here's a pic of my Washburn V. I love it. I've had this one since Christmas 1986. It was my first electric guitar after beating around on crappy acoustics for 3 years prior. My parents finally decided I wasn't going to give up and decided to get me something decent. I don't think you can go wrong with a good Washburn personally.
